Nertz attended the “International Conference on Islam in the Malay World” in Bandung (20.11-22.11.2011) organized by the Graduate School of the Islamic State University Gunung Djati, Bandung and APIUM (Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur).
