Günther Schulze and Gerrit J. Gonschorek will speak at the conference "The Indonesian Economy under Jokowi: A New Development Model?" in Singapore
The conference will be hosted by the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute on 21 & 22 of March 2018.
Four years into his presidency, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has arguably made significant political and economic achievements. However, his administration faces several challenges as Indonesia's GDP growth of 5.07 percent in 2017 has been significantly below Jokowi's targeted seven percent. A group of leading international scholars is invited to make presentations on various major aspects of Indonesian development issues and to discuss the potential challenges for Indonesia to achieve its development goals and the implication of those challenges for Jokowi’s electability in 2019.
