Event | Visit of DAAD-sponsored Indonesian delegation

On 12 December 2014, a DAAD-sponsored delegation of Indonesian university and think tank scholars will visit the University of Freiburg. The FRIAS Research Focus program "Dynamic Alignments and Dealignments in Global Southeast" Asia provides the program for the delegation.

Prof. Jürgen Rüland will hold a lecture on the topic of 'Constructing Regionalism Domestically: Local Actors and Foreign Policymaking in Newly Democratized Indonesia' from 9.45 to 10.30 as well as give an overview over the Southeast Asian Studies Program from 15.15 to 16.15.

Additionally, Prof. Günther Schulze will present on the topic of 'Democratization, Decentralization and the Promise of Good Governance: Evidence from Indonesia' from 10.30 to 11.15.

Furthermore, Prof. Marcus Mietzner, who is currently a fellow at Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Freiburg, will give a talk on Political Finance in Indonesia from 11.45 to 12.30. All presentations are followed by discussions.
