Online Summer School "People and Empowerment" (12-15 July 2021)
Jürgen Rüland and Günther Schulze participated in the annual ASEM Summer School organized by the University of Malaya’s Asia-Europe Institute (AEI).
This year AEI’s cooperation partners were Universitas Padjajaran, Bandung, Indonesia, and the Freiburg Institute of Advanced Studies (FRIAS) of the University of Freiburg. The summer school addressed the issue of “People and Empowerment.” Jürgen Rüland contributed to the panel “Human Security and Development” and spoke on “Alternative Regionalism? Securing the Regional Representation of Socially Disadvantaged Groups in Southeast Asia and Europe.”
