On 28 October 2020 Jürgen Rüland participated in the Online Expert Roundtable „The Future of the EU-ASEAN Partnership.“

The Roundtable was jointly organized by the European Policy Centre and the EU-ASEAN Business Council, Brussels.
Digital tandem research: “Witnessing Corona among Indonesian and German Youth”

The Departments of Anthropology at the University of Freiburg, Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta and University of Indonesia in Jakarta organize student tandems in order to explore experiences and understanding of everyday life of young people in Asia and Europe in the times of Corona. The project is integrated in Judith Schlehe’s seminar on Youth Cultures in Indonesia in the Summer Term 2020.
