Chaiwatt Mansrisuk

Chaiwatt Mansrisuk, born in 1973, received a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from the Faculty of Political Science at Thammasat University in Thailand. He spent six years as a Monbukagakusho scholar studying Political Science and Public Policy at Saitama University (1996-1998), the University of Tokyo (2002-2003), and Waseda University (2003-2006) in Japan. Since February 2007, he has held a lecturer position at the School of Political Science, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University in Thailand. He is now pursuing a doctoral degree at the Department of Political Science at the University of Freiburg, Germany. His research interests include comparative politics, democratization, contemporary Thai politics and postwar Japanese politics.
