Panji Anugrah Permana, born 1977, studied Political Science at Universitas Indonesia and received a Master's Degree in Political Science in 2006. Beginning in 2001 he worked as a lecturer at the Department of Political Science at Universitas Indonesia, where he joined the Center for Political Studies in 2002. In 2005 he was appointed as the Secretary of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Indonesia. He was a Visiting Scholar at the National Development Institute at National Taiwan University in 2007. In 2008 he served as the Head of Secretariat at Universitias Indonesia. His research interests include Indonesian democratization, local politics, and political economy. Since 1999 he conducted several research projects on political institutions, elections, and local politics in Indonesia. In 2009 he received a DAAD scholarship for Doctoral Studies and is currently a doctoral student at the Department of Political Science under Chair Prof. Dr. Rüland, University of Freiburg, Germany.
